The film industry as we know it has gone global. Film is not just produced in one place anymore. The new model sources from diverse and multiple suppliers that span the globe from Toronto to Mumbai to Hong Kong, and it is this shared contribution that makes the whole.
Even more exciting is the imminent explosion of visual communication in the digital world. Technology just took another leap forward with Cloud computing and the movement towards Web 3.0, and the implications are not yet fully realized. But we do know that new media channels are appearing everywhere everyday, both on- and off-line, and there is an enormous opportunity here for new film programming and digital content provision. All these new screens are going to need filling!
From features to ad spots to commercial video to documentaries to corporate EPKs to music media to the convergence of television and the internet…. The future of film is expansive. It’s a brave new world and it speaks in vision.
